Full Charger Bookkeeper needed for a Large Landscape Maintenance and Design Build Company. They have a fabulous company reputation and are very financially sound. With lots of potential for growth and wonderful benefits. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors. This role requires analytical ability and the need to relay the findings to multiple teams in a manner that corrects and encourages beneficial behaviors for the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may also be assigned. Financial Monitor the financial performance of the company. o -Planning and coordinating all initial accounting functions and preparing the reports for the Managing Partners. o Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results. o Coordinating and preparing internal statements and working with the accountant to prepare the external financial statements. o Provide Managing Partners with timely information vital to the decision-making process. Directs the Monthly Close Process at the company and department level. Assist the Managing Partners and department managers in the planning and budgeting process o Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets at the company and department level. o Provide support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments. Participate in the development of and support the company's business plan. Evaluating accounting and internal control systems o Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed Developing and monitoring financial and business performance metrics o Communicating those metrics to the Managing Partners and department managers. o Support Managing Partners in holding team members accountable for evaluating and reporting departmental results. o Coordinating next steps and potential improvements to departments and ownership Work with departmental managers to determine best costing practices, thus reducing materials and labor expenses and achieving gross margin goals. Supervisory Manages the accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions. Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations. Manages the preparation of payroll for personnel. Manage account receivables and accounts payable processes Process Development Responsibilities Work with Managing Partners and department managers to develop processes and systems to help with the scalability of the company. Participate in the development of and support of the company's strategic plans. Prioritize and implement rollout of processes and training on how those processes work. Training Coordination Responsibilities Coordinate a weekly training schedule for all personnel. Ensure the performance of that training by creating a reporting system for the training process.. Prepare the weekly recap report for the Managing Partners and department managers. Human Resources Responsibilities Initial interviews of candidates and recommendations to Managers Assist HR Manager in keeping up documentation. Support Core Value integration to the total workforce. Keep up to date on current HR trends. Sales Management Responsibilities Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing monthly proposal activity and sales goals. Tracks the success process in accordance with activity goals, sales goals, and closing ratios. Create and manage the sales reporting process. Perform any other tasks necessary or requested by the Managing Partners to ensure a smooth and profitable operation. TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS Strong interpersonal and communication skills Impeccable analytical and organizational skills Self-motivated and self-directed Ability to work closely with a senior management team. Understanding of administrative and landscaping business needs is a must. Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas. Experience with financial reporting requirements.. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required. Certified Public Accountant designation preferred. Eight to ten years of experience in financial management is required. LANGUAGE SKILLS While performing duties, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; may read and interpret data, information and documents; observe and respond to people and situations; learn and apply new information or skills; work under deadlines; and interact with others encountered in the course of work. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
