Job Description:

The Patient Education Consultant (PEC) has the primary responsibility for educating patients on the various advanced technology options relating to cataract surgery and LASIK procedures for KEI while additionally owning the patient experience. The PEC serves as a primary point of contact for all Premium Cataract, LASIK, and OD referred cataract and LASIK consultations. The PEC will also work closely with the external sales team (OD Liaison) to make sure all OD referred patients receive an excellent patient experience.Meets with all potential Premium/Refractive/Lasik patients in the KEI Clinics to present and explain our advanced vision solutionsEffectively assist patients in their decision-making processPrepares all quotes and paperwork necessary for cataract surgery and/or LASIKTakes ownership of the patient experience as it relates to greeting the patient, establishing rapport with the patient, educating the patient, performing a collaborative discovery with the patient regarding their vision needs, and works to secure a strong surgeon recommendation(s) for the patientInterfaces with surgical scheduling, billing processes, and OD referral patients so the ensuring exceptional patient experienceMaintains records of completed transactions and patient treatments.Manages the follow-up process by reaching out to potential patients who have already expressed an interest in KEI advanced technology to help educate them on the process, identify where they are in their decision-making process, and/or follow up on patients who may have delayed treatment.by Jobble
