Maintenance Mechanic – Alsip, IL - Direct Hire Pay: $70k | 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support plant operations and production equipment. This role is essential to ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations across the facility. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail?oriented, and strong in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. What You’ll Be Doing Maintain, test, and repair electrical, electronic, PLC, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems . Support all production and facility equipment to ensure consistent uptime. Troubleshoot and repair issues involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic components. Adhere to all safety protocols, properly use PPE, and report unsafe conditions immediately. Document all maintenance activities in work logs and update equipment information in the CMMS . Perform preventative maintenance and assist in continuous improvement efforts. What You Need Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems. Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment specifications. Hands?on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic systems. Strong commitment to safety and standard operating procedures. Willingness to perform preventative maintenance and contribute to efficiency improvements.
