Job Description:

Reporting to the Demand Planning Director, you will lead a team in the development of the forecast used for operational & financial planning. You will lead the review of historical sales trends, statistical forecast models, and evaluates forecast results. You will coordinate communication with sales, marketing, finance, supply planning and other departments to deliver on forecast accuracy metrics. What You'll Do: Manage team of Demand Planners supporting multiple brands and/or business units. Hire, train, and mentor new planners, creating an environment of personal and professional development. Manage team to drive process execution, action follow up for delivery of KPI's, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Own and facilitate the monthly S&OP forecast consensus process resulting in a rolling 24-month demand plan. Supports S&OP Demand Reviews with VPs and GMs. Play a lead role in the annual planning process across the S&OP planning team. Ensure linkage to monthly volume forecast as part of financial forecasting process. Collaborate with key partners in, Sales, Brand, and Finance to obtain consistent forecast inputs. Work cross-functionally and across peer group to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities. Ensure successful customer promotion execution through effective planning and leverage of key customer event inputs. Track weekly/monthly forecast error results versus established targets and identify and report on root cause for forecast error below targets. What You'll Bring: B.S. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field. MBA/advanced degree a plus. 5 years consumer products forecasting and/or supply chain experience. Direct experience in managing people. Experience in and/or exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning and/or supply planning. Experience with any forecasting application or supply planning software Experience with IRI/Nielsen, Retail Link, and other external customer data sources.
