Qualifications: - Provide illness care, first-aid care, food allergies, seizures, asthma, orthopedic concerns special needs students and basic emergency care to students according to the policies and procedures of the school district - You will need to have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (PEL - school nurse) and a current Illinois Registered Nurse License. (Professional Education License with an endorsement in School Nursing) - Hearing and Vision Certification preferred but not required Role Overview: As a School Nurse (RN) you will, provide primary health care and emergency services to students and staff, promote wellness, and serve as a health resource within the school community. This role supports student success by addressing health-related barriers to learning. Job Details: - Schedule: Full time M-F (40 hours/week) - Dates: Immediate Need - End of school year - Elementary hours with paid lunch - Setting: Elementary ages K-5th - Caseload:150 - In-person only - Pay Rate: $40-$45 Key Responsibilities: - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Provide first aid and emergency care. - IEPs / 504's - Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures). - Conduct contact tracing and illness follow-ups. - Support individualized health plans for students with special needs. - Maintain accurate student health records. - Ensure compliance with state health regulations and school policies.
