be considered. An opportunity is available for a registered nurse
with medical-surgical and oncology experience to provide care on a
52-bed med-surg unit with a focus on orthopedic and surgical
patients. This contract role requires a skilled RN comfortable
managing diverse post-operative and medical diagnoses in an
all-private room setting. Strong clinical judgment and
collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team will be critical.
Location: Wheeling, WV Wheeling is a charming city with a rich
history located along the Ohio River. It offers a mix of cultural

lifestyle. Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care on a
12-hour overnight shift (7P-7A) on the 4th Floor Ortho/Surgical
Unit. Manage post-operative patients including orthopedic,
neurological, and general surgical cases. Monitor patients
conditions, administer medications and drips within unit protocols,
and coordinate with in-house hospitalists and intensivists.
Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and clinical assistants to
ensure high-quality care. Maintain documentation in Sunrise EMR
system. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including
care for patients undergoing dialysis and those pending COVID-19
test results. Float to other med-surg or oncology units as needed,
with potential IMC support responsibilities. Qualifications/Desired
Experience: Active RN license. Medical-surgical nursing experience
required; oncology nursing experience preferred. Current BLS
certification required; NIHSS certification required; ACLS
preferred. Experience with commonly used drips and post-op care,
including orthopedics and neuro patients. Familiarity with
peritoneal dialysis is highly preferred. Comfortable working in a
fast-paced unit with ratios typically 1:6-7. This is a contract
opportunity with every other weekend and holiday work expected.
Uniform protocols require navy blue scrubs for RNs. A flexible
