We cater to both locals and tourists with consistent service, upbeat energy, and a bustling crowd throughout the day and evening. The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for our guests and sets the tone for the entire dining experience. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, organized, and confident in managing a fast-paced front door - balancing warmth and professionalism while maintaining control of the floor and reservations flow. Responsibilities: - Greet and seat guests with genuine hospitality and a welcoming attitude - Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating charts efficiently using Open Table - Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and the bar team to coordinate seating and service flow - Monitor guest experience and anticipate needs - Maintain a polished appearance and calm composure during peak hours - Assist with phone calls, to-go orders, and guest inquiries - Support management with guest relations and service recovery when needed Qualifications: - Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or upscale dining preferred - Excellent communication and multitasking skills - Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and team-oriented mindset - Strong organizational and time-management abilities - Weekend and evening availability required Company Description Neighborhood Irish bar located in the Chicago Loop, next to the Chicago Theatre, steps away from Chicago Riverwalk with great food, craft beer and cocktails.
