Senior Solutions Architect

Location: Chicago

Position Summary

The Senior Solutions Architect (SSA) role within the sales process is to fully understand a prospect?s business problem and construct a solution with corresponding architecture to address the customer need(s). The Senior Solutions Architect exhibits a high level of technology, sales, and business maturity, operates independently in sales activities.

Objectives

? Design Architecture Blueprints

? Standard and Custom Demonstrations

? Prospect qualification and requirement discovery

? Account Management from a technical perspective

? Own and progress opportunities through qualification, definition, proof/evaluation, proposal and closure

? Lead implementation of POC/POV?s and custom demos

? Respond to the capabilities sections of RFI/RFP?s

? Ensure a prospect?s business needs can be addressed with Software AG?s capabilities

? Listen, understand and analyze the prospect?s business requirements, compose, validate and present solutions

? Define POC/POV or custom demonstration scenarios

Requirements & Skills

? BS Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other technical field

? 10 years professional experience

? Competency in various languages (e.g. Java, C/C++, Perl, Python, NodeJs)

? Experience with CEP, BPM, aPaaS, ESB, EDA, SOA, EAI and BI

? Experience with a wide spectrum of Operating Systems (e.g. NT, Unix, ZOS) and Databases (SQL, Hadoop, Cassandra; Terracotta)

? Experience with a wide range of applications (e.g. ERP, CRM)

? Very strong in depth knowledge of Enterprise Software technologies and solutions

? Demonstrate a team attitude and leadership

? Ability to act as a mentor due to outstanding character, judgment and knowledge

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

? Experience developing and presenting clear and concise product briefings

? Able to lead teams of Systems Engineers on Proof of Concepts, Solution/Architecture, Planning and Custom demos

? Ability to lead Discovery and Customer First Assessment Meetings to identify business value and ROI for complex business challenges

? The Candidates must have ARIS, BPM, BPA

? This is a pre-sales & technical position

? Must have sales experience

? This position will spend a lot of time trying to do the right thing for the customer

? Mostly technical work ? getting deeper into the product

? Implementing and delivering the solution
