Chicagoland or remote with up to 10% annual travel required.
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Exempt Pay Range: $124,900
– $182,100 annually Position Overview A leading organization is
seeking a skilled and motivated IT Lead to oversee the technology
platforms and applications that support financial and accounting
operations. The Workday Lead – Financial Integrations will play a
pivotal role in designing, developing, implementing, and
maintaining seamless integrations between Workday and various
internal and external financial and accounting systems. This
position will manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and
enhancements of Workday finance and accounting platform
integrations, including Accounting Center and Prism. The Workday
Integration Lead will collaborate closely with stakeholders to
implement system improvements and ensure data integrity,
performance, and compliance across financial systems. This role
requires a blend of financial and accounting expertise along with
strong IT acumen to align planning and implementation with the
organization’s technology strategy and support strategic
decision-making. The role also champions standardized methodologies
to ensure consistent service delivery and successful completion of
milestones and deliverables. Responsibilities · Lead the
integration of Workday Financials with other applications and play
a critical role in integration development, testing, deployment,
and ongoing maintenance · Develop integration strategies and
collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, and
business units to understand requirements and translate them into
technical solutions · Apply an analytical approach to solving
system issues by understanding system interdependencies and fully
utilizing the Workday integration toolset to build robust solutions
· Design and build integrations using Workday Orchestrate, Studio,
EIBs, Core Connectors, PECI, XSLT, and other integration tools
while adhering to best practices and industry standards ·
Collaborate with system integrators, IT teams, and Finance
subject-matter experts to design and validate financial accounting
data flows, event-to-accounting mappings using Accounting Center,
and data pipelines into Prism for analytics and reporting · Lead
discovery sessions to identify integration opportunities, propose
enhancements, and implement improvements to streamline data
exchange and business processes · Develop and support integrations,
including specifications, design documentation, testing plans, and
deployment activities · Assist with data migration efforts,
including validation of chart of accounts mappings, balances,
journal conversions, customers, suppliers, assets, and historical
datasets · Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot and
resolve issues, and ensure data accuracy and integrity · Stay
current with Workday updates and industry trends to recommend
innovative solutions and enhancements to existing integrations ·
Provide leadership and contribute to the development of new
processes and procedures for service delivery, including templates,
best-practice documentation, and knowledge base contributions ·
Identify and escalate risks in a timely manner and develop
alternative technical and functional approaches as needed Required
Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus · 6 years
of hands-on experience with Workday Financials integrations and
Accounting Center/Prism, including deep expertise in Workday
Orchestrate, Studio, EIBs, PECI, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect,
Document Transformations, Workday Packaged Integrations, XSLT, and
Workday integration architecture · Experience completing at least
two full life-cycle Workday Finance integration implementations ·
Experience using developer tools such as Oxygen, Postman, SOAP UI,
or equivalent · Expert knowledge of finance processes, the Workday
data model and infrastructure, and best practices for finance and
HR system integrations · Prior experience managing and leading a
team of integration specialists · Proficiency with integration
technologies including REST APIs, SOAP, XML, and web services ·
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and
resolve complex integration issues · Workday certifications in
Integrations and Studio are strongly preferred · Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly
explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders · Strong
project management skills, including the ability to prioritize
tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives
