Job Description:
ProDrivers is seeking a dedicated Class A Trucker to join our
team of professional drivers and enhance our distribution
processes. You will be responsible for the safe operation of a
tractor-trailer, ensuring timely delivery of freight to multiple
service routes. Our focus at ProDrivers is on ensuring safe,
efficient, and effective transportation tailored to meet the
logistics requirements of various industries. The ideal candidate
will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards, adapt to
route changes efficiently, and maintain detailed logs. Through this
role, you will significantly contribute to our goal of driving
success through dedication. Operate a class A tractor-trailer
combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVWR, to
transport and deliver goods, livestock, or materials in liquid,
loose, or packaged form. Inspect truck before and after trips and
submit reports indicating truck condition. Read bill of lading to
determine assignment details and delivery expectations. Maintain
logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status,
following applicable state and federal regulations. Coordinate with
logistics staff to identify and troubleshoot any route changes or
challenges to meet delivery schedules. Secure cargo for transport,
using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers as needed. Adhere to company
policies regarding safe driving practices and standards.
Proficiency in driving manual and automatic transmission vehicles
Strong geographic knowledge of the service area Knowledge of
electronic equipment, such as GPS and routing devices Effective
communication and time management skills Ability to handle physical
workload Safe driving skills and clean driving record Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Valid Class A
commercial driver’s license (CDL-A) DOT medical card Clean driving
record Must have passed a federally compliant background check
