Design the future.Title: Quality Assurance SupervisorLocation: Willowbrook, ILType: Full-time Job Responsibilities:Oversees the day-to-day processing of all stability, compatibility, HRIPT, PET and other required testing protocols including reporting of results to both internal and external partnersOversees and is responsible to work with Product Development, regulatory/compliance, Fragrance houses and other QA associates to gather all required information and documentation required to complete registration of products where appropriate Manages the QA coordinator who is responsible for working closely with our customers to ensure understanding of their in-house QA requirements and Audit Schedules to build appropriate internal processes and proceduresDevelops quality metrics as it relates to quality assurance to establish and present trending topics to upper management Responsible for developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as it relates to the departmentDevelops testing methodologies and coordinate activities with the design team along with Product Development throughout the product life cycle and sampling process to ensure that the product meets established criteria and desired goals Oversees the remediation of quality problems including recommending solutions outside of established guidelines when improvements are availableOversees the day to day routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, finished goods, and stability samplesCommunicates with vendors to resolve issues or concerns regarding current product quality and recommend solutions for corrective actionOversees the day-to-day schedules, assignments, and development of assigned QA personal, including administering quarterly and annual reviews Education and Experience: BS/BA in Business preferred, Chemistry or equivalent QA experienceKnowledge of QA principles and practices or a packaging/product engineering backgroundExperience: 2 to 4 years of previous experience in Quality Assurance/Control and production environmentExposure to audit, regulatory and compliance related activities in the cosmetics worldRegulatory and compliance experience a plusOther Skills: Knowledge of QA/QC principles and practicesFamiliarity and understanding of Third Party testing facilities and practicesAbility to interpret and create sampling procedures and other written documentationAbility to work within a warehouse environment which may include lifting up to 50 lbs., moving and separating raw materials, boxes and/or other manual processesClear understanding of the various components that make up a finished goodAbility to work independently and seize opportunities to contribute to the organization beyond the specified roleExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with different types of people, while creating and maintaining cooperative relationships across the organizationAbility to be customer focused and help ensure that the organization fulfills its mission of providing unmatched customer service and quality products Full understanding of the team concept combined with individual accountabilityAbility to exercise good business judgment and develop constructive solutionsWorking knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Compensation:Base salary $60-$65k, commensurate with experience.
