metabolism, Agios is advancing a robust clinical pipeline of
investigational medicines with active and planned programs in
alpha- and beta-thalassemia, sickle cell disease, pediatric PK
deficiency and MDS-associated anemia. The impact you will make:
Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic DTC marketer to
join our growing US Marketing Team. The Director of Patient
Marketing, Sickle Cell will focus on leading and executing the
patient strategy in preparation for the future launch of mitapivat,
currently in development for sickle cell disease, a vastly
underserved community. We want to find an experienced marketer with
the skills, experience, and passion to help us fulfill our mission
of helping this patient community. This position will guide key
commercial projects to engage patients and their caregivers. We
seek someone who can work effectively in a dynamic
team-environment, with a high degree of autonomy. This position
reports to the Senior Director, Patient Marketing and will start as
an individual contributor. What you will do: Represent the voice of
the patient in development of strategic imperatives and develop
strategy for engaging with patients and caregivers from both an
unbranded and branded perspective Guide the development, execution
and implementation of disease education and branded initiatives and
materials for traditional and emerging channels Oversee and manage
execution of patient and caregiver tactics Monitor and examine
overall performance metrics, adjusting strategies and messages as
needed. Collaborate with digital marketing to develop and execute
an omnichannel strategy including media mix, measurement,
optimization, and analytics. Partner cross-functionally with HCP
marketing, digital marketing, patient advocacy, US medical affairs,
commercial operations, market access, and field teams, to ensure
strategic alignment and executional excellence Guide key agency
relationships with accountability for achievement of goals and an
eye towards innovation. Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal,
and corporate requirements both separately and for the sickle cell
patient team What you bring: Mandatory qualifications: Bachelor’s
Degree 8 years’ experience in pharma marketing experience,
including 3 years DTC/consumer pharma marketing experience Previous
product launch experience History of success managing multiple
priorities with excellent organizational and critical thinking
skills Demonstrated ability to think creatively and pioneer
innovative projects and support thoughtful risk taking Demonstrated
ability to deliver high quality work on-time and within budget
Clear communication skills, both verbal and written Thorough
understanding of regulatory, legal and compliance requirements.
Experience navigating medical, legal, regulatory process Ability to
thrive in a highly collaborative environment outstanding
relationship-building and influencing skills. Ability to work
independently with guidance only needed on the most complex tasks
Management experience Flexibility to travel (up to 20% travel
anticipated) Preferred qualifications: Consumer/DTC marketing in
both traditional and innovative channels Rare disease DTC

Competitive and equitable performance-based compensation. This
includes base salary and both short- and long-term incentives that
are connected to our business strategy and vary based on individual
and company performance. The current base salary range for this
position is expected to be between $178,203 and $267,305
annualized; final salary will be determined based on various
factors including, but not limited to, years of relevant
experience, job knowledge, skills and proficiency,
